We discussed this earlier (actually months ago) - look back at an old topic for the details.
Basically, there are three things you need.
1) The photo has to be on the Net somewhere (or you must upload it somewhere that you can 'find/access' its URL (web address).
2) You have to put a
BB code around the photo's URL. (no extra spaces). Those codes are visible at the top of the little edit window when you compose a message or reply.
3) Under some conditions, the photo will not show up or be displayed (security or privacy controls may be in place on the host server.) In that case, surround the photo's URL by the URL bb code - so readers can just click the link and open it outside of the message.
To Insert an image:

(note above model for BB code may not show up)
You can probably do as Triangle says, upload it to the gallery (or some other webpage or site or photo-sharing service). Glowfoto. com is free, so is Flickr.com but has too many restrictions about copyrighted/explicit. Join a Ning Network and you can upload photos (and also vids) and then place them in this and other sites.
May be not surprisingly, you can also upload photos (many as one with a free app download) if you have a free Google account. Look at Google Photos (called Picasa). Each photo has an embed code (won't work on a php BB (this kind of forum) and an URL and you can also make slideshows of these pics (choosing who you want to see them or not).
There are some quirks about using Picasa pics / albums as you can see from my final experiement below. Private photos could not be display but public one's could (sort of accidently using the Embed code) - Weird !?
I tried Triangle in work pants (from the gallery) but couldn't get it to work, except the URL.

How to do it: These basic three steps work most of the time (I put some examples below and also some examples that DO NO work or not as expected).
1.
Locate the photo's URL. (Open the photo in its own window (and the URL will be at the top of the browser. Or.. left click a photo (if it's the right size and then choose Properties; from there you can copy the URL)>
2. Then
copy and paste the URL of the photos into your message.
3.
Enclose it within the IMG
bbcode (open Square Brackets the word + IMG + close square bracket) at the immediately before the URL and immediately after put the closing IMG bbcode (open Square Brackets then / (slash) the word + IMG + close square bracket)
(Put your cursor over the Img button and you can see a model of the correct bb code).
Trial samples:
A. The photo below is hidden behind the Ning log-in. It's a photo viewable by any member, but
it does show up here.
A pic of me freeballing outdoors in mesh athlete shorts (below)
B. This is a photo that is in my Ning CMNM gallery - but it is designated "f
or friends only" in my Ning network. However, it
also shows up here. (at least for now).
It was put here to see if it shows up -- do you see the guy showing off his ass to all the other guys? By the way, sometimes the host site 'catches' up with you for linking or posting a 'private' photo and the server will eventually pull the plug on it (and so it disappears).
C. You can make LINKS instead of posting the photo itself:
http://guysn2cmnm.ning.com/profile/dtyqe1uhspvz
1. Above is the link to my
Guys Into CMNM on Ning.com profile (My Page)
2. This Ning network is my latest Net project - a new Ning network that I have started for guys interested in clothed male / naked male scenes. About 40 have joined this week - I just discovered Ning recently -- don't know if it will last - It may be deleted since 'explicit or adult' network in Ning are supposed to be private (by invitation) only. This one requires registration in order to get passed the first page.
3. Example of a link that opens the web page with a photo ( or a video in this case).
http://jp.youtube.com/watch?v=mlCHqNM2RNg
Ooops... for a certain reason it does NOT work ? -- Do you know why? You guessed it. An extra space -- it's easy to overlook.
However the same link below (with the 'extra' space removed) It should work but doesn't (What the hell?? I can't explain why it works sometimes and doesn't work other times).
http://jp.youtube.com/watch?v=mlCHqNM2RNg
This should work below. It is the same URL link (to the YouTube video above) but I am making it a text link (URL is not show). By the way, a photo link is also possible.
Youtube: Freeballing in Cancun a video (may not be available long - because they get deleted or removed).
D. Here are some thumbnails photos from one of my Glowfoto albums. It's private but it will the thumbs will show up. (I can't remember the password - -try the word:
buddy.

These 'thumbs' are linked to the album in Glowfoto - so it's possible to display a photo and make it also a LINK to something with a message.
Syntax: [SqBr URL=http:// SqBr] [SqBr IMG SqBr]put IMG URL here [SqBr /IMG SqBr] [SqBr /URL SqBr]
(remember: no spaces allowed)
Final 2 Trial pics (below);
1. First one is private photo that I used in a Blogger blog, but it is marked 'private - my view only" in Picasa. I want to see if those pics in my Google photo gallery (called Picasa) marked private will show here.
2. The second one is a 'public' photo from the same source: my Google Photos albums (public one).

Note: A free google account comes with free email account, free photos gallery (Picasa) and free online applications and storage, along with a free website (wiki based visual editor instead of HTML)

#2
A link to another photo (It's me on a nudist beach in Hawaii - I guess I' getting older and not in such great shape anymore. )

That photo itself (should be displayed -- although it was not below)
**** Strange -- how things sometimes work with one host site, but not others. Sometimes you have to experiment as I have done here.
Oh well... hope you get the idea.
